Lynwood Unified students shared heartwarming displays of holiday cheer and community spirit during an array of winter festivities during December as the District heads toward the Winter Break and celebrates accomplishments over the last year.
On December 8, Lynwood Unified students represented at the City of Lynwood Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade, where cheerleaders, dance ensembles and marching bands showed off their talents, forming a strong sense of school pride among their peers, families and the greater community.
Hosler and Cesar Chavez Middle School students joined in on the holiday fun by participating in a spirit week filled with festive dress-up days, lunchtime activities, raffles and wrapping up the semester with a holiday luncheon.
Meanwhile, elementary schools dazzled families with winter performances featuring dances, songs and cheers to beloved holiday tunes - all choreographed by dedicated teachers and staff in festive holiday outfits.
District schools will be closed for Winter Recess from Monday, December 18 to Friday, January 5. January 8 is a Pupil Free Day. Schools will welcome back students on Tuesday, January 9.
Lynwood Unified wishes the community a safe and restful holiday season and looks forward to seeing students return to campus in 2024.
